getting shutout by a 34 year old career back up on his 6th team is horrible, no matter how much you pump his tires. - Brandon Smillie
I would find it hard to believe that no back-up has ever shut-out another team before. Irrelevant of their age/pedigree etc. It took me all of 5 min to find Brent Johnson (Pittusburgh Pengiuns (his 4th NHL team), age 34 2010-2011 shutout Carolina 3-0). |

The tanking should be back on with the return of the best goalie in the world. |

Never said it never happened.
Simply saying when you are shut out in the way they were, by a no namer back up, it’s unacceptable. This is the young kids time to grow and they lacked effort. That’s inexcusable at this point from them unless they want to go back to laval? |

And one more thing, Price has been healthy for quite some time now, imo.
He's just ran out of places to hide.. - pete26
Notice how they're not gonna start him against a team desperate to make the playoffs? Looking at the schedule this week, he'll probably play vs Buffalo. |

And who's fault is that?. If I were the Habs I would never let that GM of yours EVER make another deal or transaction. He has ruined your team. Exactly same problem in Edmonton. Peter Chiarelli should also never be allowed to make another transaction EVER in the NHL. Replace Bergevin ASAP and replace him with a competent GM either just English speaking or a Francophone. Let the best man run the Habs. - isitin1
I’ll agree with the part about letting the best person have the job. Unfortunately, as I’ve been reminded a lot about on Twitter, MTL loves to handicap itself because of language. Be progressive, but only if the person is bilingual. Otherwise you can’t apply. But that’s an entirely dif topic that I’ve realized will never chg from “coach/GM has to speak French so they can talk to media/locals”.
I won’t go any further on it. |

Do we really want them to look in the mirror at this point Brando?
Are we not hoping to get the best draft pick now?
Also, Hawkey is a pretty cool name for a guy that plays the sport, no? - pete26
Hawkey is a sweet name.
They simply need to build off the games against Dallas and Pitts, but they stunk and lacked effort. Shouldn’t have happened. |

he could be a starter on at least 18 teams. wouldn't be surprised if teams are offering a 2nd ++++ for him this summer. |

The odds that any player transitions well or quickly to the NHL from the NCAA or junior is fairly low. However, the Habs cant afford to lose any potential talent when the cupboards are bare. Ultimately he has played center since his 2nd year and has been a top point producer every year on a decent team in a strong division. |
